Sri Batuka Bhairava Ashtoththarashathanama Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

The hundred and eight sacred names of Sri Batuka Bhairava is highly propitious hymn was composed by Rishi Bhrihadharanyaka, it has Anushtup as Chandhass, presiding deity is Batuka Bhairava, it has Bam as Beejam, Hreem as Shakthi, Pranavam as Keelakam, it is recited to please Sri Batuka Bhairava.

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Batuka Bhairava who is one is the Ashtabhairava famously known as eight manifestation of Lord Shiva as  Asithangabhairava,  Rurubhairava,  Chandabhairava,  Krodhabhairava, Unmmaththabhairava, Kapalabhairava, Bheeshmabhairava, and Samharabhairava, he is the Lord of Bhoothaganas, he symbolizes Bhoothaganas, he has manifested as Bhoothaganas, he is the protector of shrine, he symbolizes shrine, he is the source of shrine, he belongs to Kshthriya clan/warrior, he is eminent, splendours, brilliant, etc.. he resides in the funeral grounds, he consumes meat, he symbolizes pride, recollection, blood, intoxicated drinks, Siddha, etc..  he is the provider of all kinds of super natural powers, he is worshiped by illustrious Siddhas, he has manifested as Kankala who is decked in skeleton, he conquered death, he has the appearance of death, he is the protector, he represents protective armor, he has three eyes, he has numerous eyes, his eyes are soaked in blood, he is wielded in trident, Khadga,  and Kapala, he has smokey eyes, he is unconquerable, he is the Lord of Goddess Bhairavi, he is the protector of Ganas, he is the Lord of Yogini, he is the provider of wealth and prosperity, he can be formidable too and take away all the wealth, he symbolizes wealth, he augments contentment and satisfaction in worshiper, he is adorned in venomous serpents, his matted hair locks represents sky, he holds skull, he represents Lord of death, he is decked in garland of skulls, he has mesmerizing form too, he is lustrous, he have three eyes, his eyes are resembles to flame, he has three tufts, he is the Lord of three worlds, he has manifested as most desirable infant, he is serene, he is fond of pious and righteous people, he is Batuka/infant, he has assumed the form of Batuka, he is wielded in Khadvanga, he represents Lord of wealth, he is Pashpathi who is Lord of living beings, he is supreme ascetic, he has assumed the form of mendicant who lives on alms, he has numerous attendants, he is too dark and has the appearance of night, he is attired in directions as clothe, he is extremely valorous, he has golden complexion too, he has whitish colored eyes , he symbolizes auspiciousness, and serenity,   he is the provider of peace and Siddhi, he is most beloved of Shankara, he is prominent in one of the eight Bhairavas, he is the Lord of wealth, he symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge, he represents Thamasic nature too, he is one of the Eight Bhairavas, he is adorned in serpents, he has tuft, he resides on the Earth/King of mountain, he is the Lord of Earth, he is the protector of Earth, he is the son of protector of Earth/Lord Shiva, he is decked in skeleton, he has shaven head, he is adorned in serpent as sacred thread across the chest, he is impenetrable, he entices the whole Universe, he causes sudden pause to the functions of  Earth, he is dreadful who causes death, he is wrathful, he is pure and has dark blue complexioned, he eradicates wicked demons, he has shaven head, he accepts oblation from sacrifices, he symbolizes performance of sacrifices, he has assumed the form of most desirable infant who is extremely valorous, he eradicates miseries and perils of the worshiper, he eradicates sufferings, grief, troubles from spirits etc.. he has most desirable form too, he has supreme  effulgence, he lures the heart of his consort, he is the provider of all kinds of supernatural powers, he is supreme cure for all the illnesses, he is Prabhu who is unconquerable, represents Lord Vishnu as well.
