Sri Parvathi speaks “ Oh Shambho , I would like to hear the highly propitious hymns of Devi Chinnamastha, kindly narrate the same , Oh! Kripamaya/compassionate one, kindly describes those marvelous hymns for all those people who cannot recite the thousands of sacred names of Goddess Chinnamastha.”

Lord Sadhashiva speaks “ Oh! Varanane/lovely faced one, recitation of hundred and eight glorious names of Goddess Chinnamastha would bring merit of recitation of thousands of sacred names of her, hundred and eight sacred names of Goddess Chinnamastha was composed by Sadhashiva Rishi, it has Anushtup as Chandhass, presiding deity is Goddess Chinnamastha, it is recited to attain all kinds of siddhis and fulfill all the desires of the worshiper.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Chinnamastha  who symbolizes Mahavidhya, she has colossal form and she has big sized belly, she is Chandeshvari who is passionate, she is the mother of Universe and its living beings, she is the slayer of demons Chanda and Munda, she is Mahachanda, she is Chandika who is extremely passionate,  she crushed the pride of demon Chanda, she is extremely wrathful, she symbolizes wrath, she infuse anger, she represents  new moon, cries of Kokila birds, art forms etc.. she is wrathful, she easily get enraged, she crushed the pride of Jopa, she symbolize Vajra, she crushed the pride of demon Vairochana, she represents Kalpa and Dakini, she is immersed in actions, she is Dakini who is worshiped with deeds, she resides in group, she is passionate, she is wielded in Khadvanga, she has chopped off head in order to satiate the blood thirst of Jaya and Vijaya, she is wielded in Khadga and Kharpara/skull, she is mounted on corpse, she is surrounded by corpse, she resides with the corpse, she has chopped off her head, she symbolizes Chanda/passion, wisdom and she has various marvelous forms too, she has dreadful appearance, she has dreadful look, she produces boisterous voices, she is mighty goddess, she is Yogini who immerses Yoga, Yajja and meditation, she symbolizes Yoni, divine chakra, she is the source of Yoni and Chakra and she carries out the functions the same, she represents Yonimudra, Yoni, and Yanthra, she represents Yanthra, she is worshiped with the Yanthra, she is the Goddess of Yanthra, she symbolizes Yanthra, she is Bhavani, she is the source of Universe and its living beings, she is the provider of auspiciousness, she is Bhairavi who is immersed the veneration of Bhairava in the prescribe rite, she is worshiped by Bhootha/Ganas, and Bhairava, she is Bheemeshvari who has massive form, she is divine personified, she produces alarming shrieking voices, she is beloved of Bhava, she is inseparable from Bhava, she is the safest heaven and she guides us to cross the unfathomable ocean of Samsara, she has personified as Bhadrakali who symbolizes auspiciousness, she is Bhadrika who is Mahabhadra, she is Subhadhra who ensures  auspiciousness in the life of worshiper and she protects all the auspicious deeds, she has pleasing disposition, she is generous, she is stunningly gorgeous, she is worshiped by Siddhas, she is the provider of Siddhi, she symbolizes all kinds of super natural powers, she is worshiped by illustrious Siddhas and warriors as well, she symbolizes auspiciousness, she has auspicious limbs, she is pure, she represent Shuddhasathva, she provides all kinds of auspiciousness to worshiper, she is highly honorable, she eradicate evil spell, she showers auspicious gaze on worshiper, she is Sharvani, she is all pervading, she is the source of all kinds of auspiciousness, she is ShivA who is beloved consort of Lord Shiva, she is serene, she symbolizes peace, she is Mridani who immerses in amorous sport with her consort, above are the glorious verses praising the splendor of Goddess Chinnamastha, it has been highly confidential for several Yugas and has been difficult to access, Oh! Pranavallabhe, I have narrated it to you, recitation of these sacred hymns would remove evil spell and perplexities of the worshiper, recitation of these hymns during the house of dawn, noon and dusk would provide all kinds of siddhis, Oh! Varanane, I have described the glorious verses for you, it should be recited with intense devotion and faith, it would eradicate all the enemies and the worshiper would remain unconquerable always.”
